Nordic Ventures offers outdoor adventure activities through its own website and mobile apps and through other platforms such as tourist offices, partners’ websites and social media. The information that follows applies to all of these platforms. Nordic Ventures may amend the Privacy and Cookies Policy from time to time, so visit this page regularly to keep abreast of the updates. If you disagree with this Privacy and Cookies Policy, you should discontinue using our services.
When you make a reservation, you are asked for your name and email address. You might also be asked for a telephone number, payment information, dietary restrictions and preferences, the names of guests travelling with you and your own comments added to your booking. As we provide you personalized equipment fitted to your size we also do collect sizing information about your height, weight and shoe size. All of this information is solely used for preparing for your tour with us and we do not share this information with any third parties. When you visit our website, even if you do not make a reservation, we may collect certain information, such as your IP address, which browser you’re using, and information about your computer’s operating system, application version, language settings and pages that have been shown to you. If you are using a mobile device, we might also collect data that identifies your mobile device, device-specific settings and characteristics and latitude/longitude details. When you make a reservation, our system registers through which means and from which websites you have made your reservation.
Why does Nordic Ventures collect, use and share your personal data?We use social media to promote our tours and to promote, improve and facilitate our own services.
We may also enable you to sign in to Booking.com services with your social media accounts. Your social media provider will be able to tell you more about how they use and process your data in such cases.
How does Nordic Ventures share your data with third parties?In certain circumstances, we may share your personal data with third parties.
We are developing free apps for a variety of mobile devices and use versions of our regular website that have been optimised for mobile. These apps and mobile websites process the personal details you give us in much the same way as our website does. With your consent, we may send you push notifications with information about your reservation.
How does Nordic Ventures use guest reviews and other destination-related information you share with us?After your tour with us, you may be invited to submit a guest review. This invite may ask for information about the accommodation, the surrounding areas, and the destination. If you don’t want to use your name with the review, you can make use of a screen name (which you can choose in your user account) or the review can be displayed on the website anonymously. By completing a guest review, you are agreeing that it can be displayed on our website, in our mobile apps, in our social media accounts and in social apps to inform other travellers about the quality and services of our tours. Reviews are commonly posted on specialty platforms for reviews such as TripAdvisor and Lonely Planet and then covered by third party privacy policies.
A cookie is a small amount of data that is placed in the browser of your computer or on your mobile device. This Privacy and Cookies Policy applies to cookies and similar technologies (hereafter together referred to as “cookies”).

Who has access to Nordic Ventures cookie data?Only our management and webmaster has access to Nordic Ventures cookies. Not to be confused, our Sea Kayaking guides working on the tours are the only staff with access to Chocolate cookies and vanilla biscuits either at base or out on tours and this does in no way whatsoever affect the way other cookies are handled.
In accordance with European data protection laws, we observe reasonable procedures to prevent unauthorised access and the misuse of personal data.
We use appropriate business systems and procedures to protect and safeguard the personal data you give us. We also use security procedures and technical and physical restrictions for accessing and using the personal data on our servers. Only authorised personnel are permitted to access personal data in the course of their work.
Your credit card details — when they are needed as part of the reservation process — are stored by us for a maximum of 10 days and logged into a secure payment system on the Nets payment gateway. At the end of our season, your credit card data will be permanently deleted from our systems.
Children under 18 are allowed on our tours under direct supervision of adults or appointed guardians. Personal information gathered about children under 18 during the processing of your booking is handled exactly the same way as other data.
You always have the right to review the personal information we keep about you. You can request an overview of your personal data by emailing us at info@nordicventures.com. Please write ’Request personal information’ in the subject line of your email and include a copy of your identity card to help us prevent unauthorised individuals from accessing your personal data.
If the personal information we have for you is incorrect, we will update it at your request. You can also ask us to remove your personal data from our customer database by sending an email with ’Request for removal of personal information’ in the subject line. However, we may need to retain certain information, for example for legal or administrative purposes, such as your name and booking reference code for accounting and tax purposes end of the season.
Who is responsible for the processing of personal data on the Nordic Ventures website and apps? Nordic Ventures ASWe are based in Norway and any information we collect about you is governed by Norwegian law.
